MVRacing are a family run motorsport team based in the picturesque market town of Evesham, Worcestershire. The team is run by Garry Venn and runs a Citroen Saxo in the Saxmax Championship with his youngest son, Matthew Venn, being the driver. Also part of the team are Oliver Venn, Vince Marsters, Darran Payne and Paul Turner who provide support and mechanical skills to help get the best out of the car and driver. Matthews mother, Megan, provides all important support and the best bacon butties around to the team.
The team started a couple of years ago when Matthew was a keen karter and competing in first Cadet then Minimax and Junior Rotaxmax kart formulas. After these years of successful karting a decision was made for Matthew to take part in the new Saxmax Championship being organised by the 750 Motor Club for the first time in 2006. The team runs one Citroen Saxo VTR (8 valve engine) which has been rebuilt from scratch by the team to meet the chamionship requirements. After each meeting the team set to work repairing any damage and making sure the car is again ready for the next race.
Motorsport is an expensive sport and the team are looking for sponsors to help fund the car for the 2007 season. Whilst money is always appreciated, we are also willing to look at sponsorship in kind (providing goods that are required to race or can be sold on to generate funds for the team). If you can help then please contact us to discuss a proposal. |
